Kit Corp Custom Home Schedule

Step 1   Your Home Plan

Some clients have a plan or at least a concept of a plan; others have a sketch on a napkin, and others don't have a clue where to start.  At any stage of your thought process, Billy and Donna are here to help you sort them all out and develop a plan that will meet your families needs.

From your plan many selections will have to be made to complete your home.  That's where we really start the process of guiding you through every step.  So, here we go.......

Step 2   The Final Plans and Contract

After several revisions and fine tuning, your plans we are now ready to start the quotation process.  The process to develop an accurate quote for your home begins with an extensive interview with YOU.  The home has certain items that are classified as "allowance" items. i.e. you have a budget for making a variety of selections.  Those allowance items include everything from flooring to lighting and everything in between.  Therefore, your quote is dependant on YOUR specifications.  I'll explain.....If you want high end plumbing, we'll give you a high end allowance,  and vice versa.  This ensures that we give you a realistic allowance so that you are able to make your selections and stay within budget!

After the quote is finalized a Construction Contract and Specifications list will be reviewed in detail with you.  After contract signing, the selections process begins, as does the permitting process.  This takes us to the next step......

    Step 3   The Selection Process

Donna takes you SHOPPING!!  Here's how this works...  Through several years of developing a system, Donna has developed an approach that takes most of the stress out of the process.  Donna gets busy making appointments and we set a date. Then....

Breakfast! (we all have to eat)  While we are fueling up for the day, Donna lays out the shopping plans for the next couple of days and gets a feel of your decorating style and the overall look you're wanting to achieve.  (In our homeowners manual there are lots of tips to help you get "your style" started)

Over a three day period we systematically make your selections.  About one and a half weeks after the selection process is completed, we will meet again to review all of the quotes from your selections.  At that time you will have the opportunity to know exactly what your allowance items total and know exactly what your final amount of your home will be.  The assures you of no surprises at completion.

    Step 4       Lets' Start Building

Now all of the major decisions have been made and all you have to do is sit back and let us do the work!  Well, most of the work......

During our building process we have scheduled meeting times to discuss the building progress.  The first major meeting will be at the "Rough-In and framing Walk-Thru".  This is the time that we take you room by room with all of our subcontractors.  From cabinetry, plumbing, electrical to HVAC; we cover it all with you.  The last scheduled time is at the completion of your home with an extensive walk-thru and punch list

Step 5         Move In and Beyond

Now comes the really exciting time!!  Move In Day!  We also have tips and directions for your move.  Wheather you're moving next door or across the country, we're here to help guide you.  Kit Corp has a one year warranty that covers your homeOf course, your manufacturers warranty will cover your appliances, flooring, windows, HVAC, etc.  Depending on the product you select, your warranty on these items may be 10-20 years or longer.  As your builder and your new friends Billy and Donna will continue a relationship with you that will last a lifetime.
